We would like to invite you to a Seminar
“Between the Times: Christian Life between Resurrection and Fulfillment”
by Prof. Cornelis van der Kooi
Friday, 9 December 2016, 19.30 local time
One of the issues in worldwide Christianity is what we can hope for. With Easter the church celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and with Pentecost we celebrate the outpouring of the Spirit, but what does this mean for us and the world we inhabit? Does this mean health, prosperity, and a victorious life? Or do we give in to resignation and is Christian hope only focused on afterlife? In this lecture I hope to give a realistic reformed perspective on Christian life, in which the work of the Spirit and our situation as pilgrims on the way is taken seriously. What does it mean for us, each in his or her specific context and calling?
Venue: Sekretariat Reformed Evangelical Church (Singapore)
The Alexcier #03-05, 237 Alexandra Road, Singapore 159929
